Cheapest Cell Phone Plan
Cheapest cell Phone plan with free incoming calls?
I’m looking for an el-cheapo (but reasonably reliable) cell Phone Plan, very preferably one with free incoming calls. I would most likely be making less than 500 minutes’ of outgoing calls a month. The ability to receive text messages would be nice but beyond that I really don’t need much in the way of functionality (camera phone, MP3 player, etc.). Most of the calls would be daytime too, so free nights/weekends is no biggie for me. (But I’ll take it if it’s there!)
If it makes any difference, I’m in the Champaign-Urbana area in central Illinois, 217 area code, and that is where most of the calling would occur. So, can anyone recommend a decent cell phone plan with minimal cost?
Nextel had a free incoming call plan for about $30 until they merged with Sprint. Not Sprint and Nextel have free incoming minutes, but the price just shot up $10 for the same 300 anytime minutes and you have to sign a two year agreement. That being said, since there are two providers to chose from, you have more choices in Phones.
