Can someone with A Pda (an Hp ipaq for example) and linux installed hack a wireless network?

Yes…also check your WLAN security WEP is hackable, you want WPA and to be safe WPA 2 to protecting your wireless network(s). The truth of the matter is that most WLAN networks are using the same firmware that came out of the box with the router which has only WEP. Download and update the firmware on anything and everything that is hackable. Check every 30 days to see if anything new can be updated. Good luck.

ps…it is always good to take a look at your lan and wlan log which will show what ip(s) are being used at any time.
